Named after the Hindu Sun God, Aditya is a delightful boutique hotel with just a handful of suites and two villas, set on a lovely stretch of beach between Galle and Hikkaduwa. This is the perfect place in which to unwind in luxury and seclusion. The atmosphere within the resort is peaceful and calm, with the low number of guests meaning that it never feels crowded.
Service is personal and friendly, with a real family feel to it. Guests can choose when and where to dine, and can even arrange for spa treatments and yoga sessions at a time and a place that suits them, giving them real flexibility. This is a wonderfully relaxing place to return to after a day of exploring the area’s many attractions.
Set on a lovely, wild stretch of beach, this intimate boutique hotel offers fantastic views over the ocean. Although it doesn't have the range of facilities found in larger resorts, it offers high levels of personalised service and plenty of charm.

Rooms
Each suite is named after Hindu solar deities and has its own unique layout and personality, featuring original artwork and antiques and a modern decor fused with Asian styles. They cover three categories, all offering amenities such as TVs, DVD players, minibars, safes, hair dryers and tea/coffee, as well as their own private plunge pools.
Shanthi Suites, despite being the smallest option, still offer 65 square metres of living space, looking out onto the courtyard from private verandas. Sagara Suites are an impressive 111 square metres in size and their balconies provide wonderful ocean views, especially at sunset. Meanwhile, the luxurious Surya Suite spans 167 square metres across two levels, with the bedroom upstairs and a spacious living room downstairs. Its private sun deck, complete with open-air plunge pool, makes the perfect spot for taking in superb ocean views.
For more space and luxury, the two Villas each have two suites — Pool Suites on the ground floor, which boast private pools, and Sky Suites on the upper floor, which have their own Jacuzzi out on the deck. Both suite categories offer wonderful views of the Indian Ocean.
Location
The hotel enjoys a private beachside location less than a 30-minute drive from the historic fort city of Galle and 15 minutes from the idyllic beaches of Hikkaduwa.
Food and drink
Aditya’s restaurant overlooks the garden and beach and in the evening is lit up to create a romantic ambiance. A variety of food is served, but it particularly specialises in fresh seafood due to its coastal location. Guests can choose to dine in the restaurant or in any other location on site, including the beach, and food is served at a time that suits you. You can also opt to have a private barbecue in the garden or on the beach.
For drinks, the poolside bar offers a good range of wines, spirits, cocktails and soft drinks.
Facilities and activities
The hotel has a spa offering a number of treatments, which guests may choose to enjoy in their room if they wish. There’s also a library stocked with books and films to borrow and a gym, with an on-call yoga teacher available for private sessions on request, which can be taken at a location of your choice.
Environmental and social responsibility
The majority of staff here are from the neighbouring villages, and the property makes regular contributions to community development initiatives.
