Amakhala Hillsnek

Hillsnek is a small, intimate safari camp consisting of just four tents, meaning that the entire safari experience here is very exclusive and personalised. The camp is tucked away in a remote corner of the Amakhala Game Reserve, which is 7,400 ha in size and contains all of the Big Five as well as 16 antelope species.

Each of the four tents enjoy panoramic views across the rolling plains of the African bush from raised wooden viewing decks. All four tents are linked to the main lodge by raised wooden walkways. The tents are complete with an en suite bathroom and romantic outside shower. With all the canvas windows rolled up one may appreciate the beauty of nature from the comfort of your bed or whilst soaking in a deep bubble bath.

The stone, canvas and thatch main lodge consists of an open plan lounge, bar with sitting area and dining room with decks overlooking the surrounding vegetation. The entire canvas front of the lodge can be opened up to best enjoy the surrounding landscape. There is also a good sized solar heated swimming pool, in which to cool off in the middle of the day when temperatures rise.
