Amanfayun

Amanfayun lies hidden in a valley to the west of Hangzhou's West Lake, and is located in the small village of Tianzhu.

Set in a collection of buildings which date from the 7-9th century Tang Dynasty, this unique and individual property consists of 47 individual dwellings that once housed villagers who tended the neighbouring tea fields.

No two rooms or suites are alike, but all maintain the integrity of the original dwelling and are furnished and styled in a typically Chinese way. Most rooms also feature private or semi-private courtyards, and are of at least 66 square metres in size.

Overall, Amanfayun is a great place to see the ancient capital of Hangzhou, and to relax and unwind in a peaceful countryside setting.
