Andronis Concept Wellness Resort

Andronis Concept Wellness Resort

Santorini, Greece

Eschewing the typical whitewashed cave style typical of Santorini hotels, the Andronis Concept Wellness Resort has created a peaceful oasis which blends seamlessly into its natural surroundings. The emphasis here is on wellness and that focus can be felt throughout the hotel.

From the indulgent in-room breakfast to the massive infinity pool, it’s not just spa and yoga wellness the property is promoting (although there is plenty in that vein). Instead, the whole hotel seems to create a relaxing environment where everything is looked after for guests and all they have to do is soak up the sun and the sunset views.

With just 28 rooms, the service and attention to detail is impressive, ensuring that everyone checks out feeling restored and refreshed. Rooms are bright and modern with contemporary design with hints of rustic character. Each room has its own private terrace and swimming pool, and the hotel restaurant serves a modern but local menu with many ingredients sourced from the hotel garden.

For those looking to get off the property, the town of Imerovigli is a five to ten-minute walk away.

OUR OPINION:

The peaceful, restorative luxury of Andronis Concept makes it a great option for guests looking to unwind in Santorini with all their needs catered to, and return home rejuvenated, relaxed, and pampered.

Rooms

Attention to detail is a key element of the hotel’s 28 rooms, all of which are suites. Each of the spacious suites has a sea view and a private plunge pool on a terrace with soft, padded loungers. Inside, the decor is modern with rustic touches such as natural wood accents and bathrooms finished in deep, charcoal tones. A soothing, neutral palette complements the sleek, contemporary decor and modern amenities which include free Wi-Fi, satellite TV and powerful rain showers.

Location

The property sits a short walk from Imerovigli on the hiking path that connects the town to Oia in the northern part of the island. The location affords Andronis Concept the luxury of space without compromising the caldera and sea views. The town of Imerovigli can be reached in ten minutes on foot.

Food and drink

Guests at Andronis Concept start the day with a wide selection of à la carte breakfast dishes delivered to their room, so breakfast in bed is always an option, or guests can dine on the terrace with views of the sea. The main restaurant, Throubi, serves traditional local dishes in a modern style and sources many of their ingredients from the hotel’s garden. The restaurant has a peaceful terrace and dining room offering sunset views.

Families

Somewhat unusually for hotels on the caldera side of the island, Andronis Concept accepts children of all ages and caters well to the needs of their youngest guests. Family rooms are available along with children’s spa treatments and yoga, mini bathrobes, kids’ bath products and floats for the pool.

Facilities and activities

Facilities and activities focus on wellness and relaxation. The spa is one of the hotel’s strong points, with an extensive menu and spacious facilities. There are three pools including the main infinity pool, which is the longest in Santorini, as well as a cave pool with a waterfall feature. There’s a cave cinema, a large, modern gym, a yoga pavilion with sea views, and a helipad.
