Today you begin your journey by boarding your international outbound flight to Bogotá.

On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

A walking tour of the historical and central part of the city with your private guide visits the world-famous Gold Museum and also takes you to see the views over the city from Monserrate.

Depart Bogotá for the Andes and Chingaza National Park for your first day of birding.

In the morning, you will visit another protected birding area outside of Bogotá before being driven back to the airport for your flight to the coffee region. Upon arrival at the airport, you will be driven through the beautiful countryside to your hacienda.

Explore the grounds of Hacienda Bambusa for the endemic bird species that call the coffee region home. Later in the day, you will continue to trek past the massive palm trees of the Cocora Valley to the Acaime Hummingbird Reserve.

Enjoy another morning with your binoculars before journeying through more verdant countryside to your next hacienda.

This morning, you will depart your hacienda for a morning at the Tinamú Nature Reserve. This private reserve was established over 40 years ago with conservation in mind and is home to over 240 species of birds.

Before your flight to the Caribbean coast, you will spend the morning at the Rio Blanco birding reserve. Here, there is a network of trails criss-crossing over 3,600 hectares to explore. Later in the day, you will be driven to the airport in Manizales for your flight to Santa Marta on the Caribbean coast. Take advantage of the cool breeze that blows through the city at night by getting an outdoor table at one of the many restaurants that line Carrera 3.

Visit Salamanca National Park and explore the birdlife that calls the mangroves and beaches home.

Travel up into the Sierra Nevada mountains to the El Dorado Reserve and spend your nights in the spectacular kogi huts overlooking the breathtaking views back to Santa Marta.

Every day will reveal new adventures at El Dorado. Today might take you along La Cumbre Trail to the San Lorenzo Ridge or spotting quetzal.

Take one last full day to search for endemic species then search for mammals like the crab-eating fox, or even ocelots, on a night walk.

You will be driven back to the airport for your flight to Bogotá. From here you will connect to your international return flight.
