Dwarikas Resort, Dhulikhel

This lovely property is situated among pristine forests of pine, rhododendron and apple trees 45 minutes from Kathmandu and 30 minutes from Dhulikhel city. The Dwarikas Resort, Dhulikhel is located at an altitude of 1,700 metres allowing the freedom of a 180 degree view of the mighty Himalaya, the Kavrepalanchok valley below and most amazing sunrises and sunsets.

The resort is spread across gentle slopes and the 36 comfortable rooms come in two different categories. The 'Newari' rooms have most character whereas the 'Gurung' rooms are a bit further up the mountain, have a larger window and thus offer slightly better views. The restaurant and reception are located in an attractive building that — although Nepal has not been colonised at any stage in its history — has a subtle colonial feel to it.
