Sinalei Reef Resort & Spa

Just half an hour from Apia, Sinalei Reef Resort & Spa sits where the Malietoa — the chiefly warrior clan — came to feast themselves on a sacred yam known for its special rejuvenating properties, before heading into battle. It's easy to see why this spot was chosen when you set your eyes on the turquoise waters, shady coconut palms and white sand beach that make Sinalei such a great place to take in the spirit of Samoa.

The fales are all simply but colourfully decorated and the choice of views range from the lush gardens to the beach and ocean. Most rooms have air conditioning as well as a ceiling fan, and many have a private outdoor shower to enhance the tropical experience.

Guests can indulge themselves at the spa, try out the nine hole golf course, snorkel or dive, or simply lie back in a hammock and soak up the atmosphere. The international restaurant serves a variety of dishes as well as excellent local fish and seafood, and Uncle Harry's cocktail bar is a great spot to enjoy a sundowner.
