The Inn, Patan

The Inn

Kathmandu, Nepal

The Inn is set in the heart of medieval Patan, just a short two-minute stroll from the Durbar Square. This is a large Newari house that has been lovingly converted into a hotel that feels a little more like a homestay.

There are ten comfortable rooms with en suite facilities, all decorated traditionally with exposed wooden beams and whitewashed walls. The Inn has a central courtyard where breakfast and home-cooked dinners are served and there's a coffee shop outside serving French coffee and a selection of cakes.

OUR OPINION:

A quiet and intimate hotel with plenty of character, a peaceful haven away from the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu city.

Rooms

The Inn has ten rooms, each individually designed with plenty of character and warm furnishings. There are two room choices, Heritage Deluxe rooms or Heritage suites, both of which can accommodate an extra mattress. The Deluxe rooms are light and airy with large windows, a beamed ceiling and wooden floor. The Heritage suite is a more spacious option and some rooms offer a balcony overlooking the lovely central courtyard.

Location

The Inn is just a short two-minute walk from the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Durbar Square. Tucked away down a small lane just set back from the square, it's perfectly positioned for exploring Patan's temples, cafés and shops.

Food and drink

There is an on-site Nepalese restaurant serving traditional thali and continental food, as well as a real coffee machine for your morning coffee fix.

Facilities and activities

The Inn has both an indoor and outdoor shaded courtyard with a lovely sitting and restaurant area. There is also complimentary Wi-Fi available throughout the property.
